FALL RIVER - Filomena M. Rego (Melo), age 66, a resident of Fall River for 53 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 in the comforts of her home with her loving family by her side. Born on August 11, 1956 in Vila Franco do Campo, São Miguel, Açores, Filomena was the beloved wife of José A. Rego and the daughter of the late Jaime R. & Zelia (Carvalho) Melo

Filomena was a graduate of Diman Girl's Vocational High School and a parishioner of Santo Christo Church. Prior to retiring, she worked at Aetna Insurance for 20 years, and also for Genzyme and Millstone Medical Outsourcing.

Filomena was a devoted and loving wife of 48 years, mother, and grandmother. She was extremely dedicated to her family and loved spoiling her children and grandchildren. She took pleasure in photography, especially in photographing her grandchildren. She was an avid traveler and was fortunate enough to have seen many parts of the world. She enjoyed shopping and was an excellent cook. She had a flair for fashion, hair styling, and interior design. A hard working, model employee, she spent years of her life committed to excellent service through her time at Aetna, Genzyme, and Millstone Medical Outsourcing.

In addition to her husband, José; Filomena is survived by her children,  Robin M. Eubank, husband Wayne D. Eubank,Jr.; and Andrea Bielawski, husband Frederick Bielawski; grandchildren, Connor Eubank, Ava Bielawski, Christian Bielawski, Isabelle Bielawski, & Emma Bielawski; siblings, Rosa Melo, Grace Teves, & Jaime M. Melo; and several nieces & nephews.

Filomena's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, Dec. 1 ^st here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
