SOMERSET – Florence D. McNerney, age 99 of Somerset and previously of CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 in St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, Florence was the beloved wife of the late Edward Simon McNerney and the daughter of the late Everett P. Maryellen Theresa (Meskill) Brown.

Florence was a 1940 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and she also attended Allen's Business School. Florence was a descendent of William White of the Mayflower and also of his son, Peregrine White who was born on the Mayflower while anchored offshore in Plymouth Harbor.

Survivors include her 2 sons; Shawn Edward McNerney of Fall River and Brian Gregory McNerney of Somerset; and several nieces & nephews. Florence was predeceased by her siblings; Irene E. (Brown) Cross, Anna May (Brown) Arel, Thomas Mayhew Brown, Ruth Monica Brown, Grace Rita (Brown) Delaney, Everett Paul Brown.

Florence's visitation will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, Oct. 25 ^th from 9-11A.M. with a service to follow in the funeral home.
