DARTMOUTH - Florence (Morro) Rapoza, age 106 of N. Dartmouth, peacefully passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on October 15, 2025. Born in Swansea, Florence was the wife of the late Manuel C. Rapoza Jr. of 55 years, and the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Silveira) Morro.

She was a talented seamstress and a devoted parishioner of St. Michael's Church, where her faith and community were an important part of her life. As an accomplished seamstress Florence loved making a variety of garments for her family, from the simplest to the most complex. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by her Children: Esther Scott (Husband Andrew) of Warren, Kathleen Shannon (Late Husband James) of Dartmouth; Grandchildren: Gail Medeiros, Cheryl Mello (Husband Doug), Christopher Shannon (Wife Bess), Jessica Smith (Husband Richard); Great-Grandchildren: Victoria Falco (Husband Robert), Abigail Smith, Nonny and Noah Shannon, and Ira Libby; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph, Antone, John, Alfred, Manuel and Frank Morro, Mary Joaquim and Rose Catabia.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, October 20th  here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset. Calling hours on Sunday, October 19th from 1-4 P.M.
