Swansea
SWANSEA - Francisco Fernandes, a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, Azores, he was the beloved husband of Virginia (Reis) Fernandes and son of the late Manuel and Helen (Andrade) Fernandes.

Known for his humble nature, Francisco lived a life rooted in simplicity, love and gratitude. Those who were blessed to know him knew the depth of his character and the warmth he brought to every room.
He was a member of the Construction Laborers Union and worked as a construction worker for many years.
In addition to his loving wife Virginia, he leaves behind his children, Joseph Fernandes (wife Karen) of Swansea, Judith Greene (partner Robert Bates) of Swansea; grandchildren Corey Fernandes and Tyler Fernandes (partner Aliana Andreoli); a great-granddaughter on the way; brother Manuel Fernandes; along with several nieces and nephews.
