North Port, FL – Frederick J. Desrosiers, age 91 passed away peacefully at home with his daughter and her two children by his side. Born in Fall River, Frederick was the husband of the late Doris M. (Bishop) Desrosiers. He was the beloved son of the late Frank and Rose Desrosiers, and his late sister Irene Whalen.

Before retiring, Frederick dedicated 33 years of service to Stop and Shop. Additionally, he served in the Air Force, where he was an expert in Morse code and guiding planes to their destinations. A skilled HAM radio operator, Frederick pursued his passion for communication. Golfing with his North Port Team was a cherished pastime he often fondly recalled. He enjoyed riding his bike to his serene retreat, named "Meditation Point". Fred had such a love for music, that he taught himself to play the guitar during his military service. Throughout his life, he serenaded many with his voice. Frederick was also devoted to Our Blessed Mother.

Frederick leaves behind his daughter Jean Desrosiers of Swansea, Kenneth Desrosiers, David Desrosiers and Michelle Desrosiers. Frederick is survived by his brother Bill Desrosiers of Cranston, RI, his grandchildren Kerrie Rojas of Buffalo, NY, Neil Fitzpatrick of Swansea, Kourtney Desrosiers of Leigh Acres, FL, Abbie Desrosiers of Swansea, and the late Justin Desrosiers of Swansea. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, his cremains will be interred in the family plot at Notre Dame Cemetery during a private ceremony scheduled for a later date.
