Gertrude "Trudy" Canfield, age 80 of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, Trudy was the daughter of the late Edward Milton Canfield and the late Stella (Burgess) Canfield. She was also the step-daughter of Rita Rose (Morin) Canfield.

Prior to retiring, Trudy worked in the local Textile Manufacturing Factories. In her free time, she enjoyed watching her "Lifetime" movies, and she was an avid Boston Red Sox and N.E. Patriots fan. But most of all, Trudy loved spending time with her family and friends.

Trudy is survived by her many nieces & nephews. Trudy was predeceased by her brother, Edward M. Canfield, and her step-siblings, Roger Belanger, Paul Belanger, Jeannette Biello, Georgette Andrade, Lucille Soule, Doris Lacombe, and Rhea Fernandez.

Trudy's private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA.
