Gil Mauricio, age 90 and a lifelong resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Gil was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Mello) Mauricio for 60 yrs. He was predeceased by his parents Francisco & Constantina (Sousa) Morriss, and brother Joseph Morriss.

Prior to retiring, Gil worked as a laborer for the Laborers Union Local 610. He also volunteered for the Federal Little League of Fall River, and he was an avid sports fan.

In addition to his wife, Gil is survived by his three children Daniel Mauricio of Fall River, Christina Mauricio of Fall River, and Brian Mauricio & his wife Amy Melanson Mauricio of Berkley; his three cherished grandchildren Elin, Callie, & Logan Jeffrey Mauricio.

Gil's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, Feb. 27th here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. at 10:00 A.M. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
