NEW BEDFORD – Gilbert Costa, age 88, passed away peacefully at The Oaks Nursing Center in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Gladys Costa, and born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Henry and Angelina (Moniz) Costa. Gilbert served honorably for the US Navy.

He is survived by his children Gilbert Costa Jr., James Allan Costa and Robert Ronald Douglas, from of his first late wife Judith (Mouro) Costa; brother Henry Costa; his good friend and aide Sgt. Michael P.Cassidy, his wife Deborah Cassidy and their daughter MacKenzie Cassidy.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a committal service on Wednesday, April 10th at 10:45 A.M. at MA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Arrangements were under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
