SOMERSET – Gloria (Grogan) Norton, age 79, of Somerset and formerly of Fall River, peacefully passed away in comforts of her home on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, Gloria was predeceased by her husband Raymond Norton and her parents Donald W. Grogan and Veronica (DeCosta) Grogan.

Gloria was a 1984 graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School's Nursing Program, and worked as an L.P.N. retiring from Bridgewater State Hospital. Gloria was an avid reader, enjoyed playing on her tablet, and trying her luck at the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

She is survived by her children Amy Mulready, her husband Thomas of Somerset, Tracy Costa, her husband Mark of Fall River, and William Norton his wife Bethany  of Westport; her sister Paula Grogan, her wife Kelley Green) of Fall River; sister-in-law Peggy Norton Taylor, her late husband Jack of Portsmouth, RI; her grandchildren Sydney, Gillian, & Benjamin Costa, Timothy Norton, and Meagan Mulready; her great granddaughter Abigail; and her fur baby George.

Gloria's family would like to thank Southcoast Health at Home Hospice, especially  Mary Jo, Julie, Felicia, and Bea. They would also like to express their gratitude to their mother's personal caretaker, Osmarry.

Gloria's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River on Friday, Feb. 6th here at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish at St. Thomas More Church , Somerset.
