FALL RIVER - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Humberto Carvalho, age 71, on July 9, 2025 in the comforts of his home surrounded by his loving family. Humberto was the devoted husband of Maria (Lourenco) Carvalho for 50 years. Born in Santo Antonio, Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Arruda) Carvalho.

Humberto was a hardworking and devoted man who took great pride in tending to his yard, where he spent countless hours with care and dedication. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in making his own wine — a tradition he loved sharing with family and friends. Humberto worked for many years at American Dryer before his well-earned retirement. Above all, he cherished his family deeply and held them at the center of his life. He was also a proud member of the Holy Ghost of Irmandade Bom Jesus de Rabo de Peixe, honoring his faith and heritage with great devotion.

Along with his wife and parents, he was loved and cherished by many people including his sons Jeff Carvalho and his wife Kelly of Dighton and Scott Carvalho of Fall River; 4 grandchildren Hannah, Joseph, William and Catherine Carvalho; siblings Antonio Carvalho, Manuel Carvalho, Jack Carvalho, Mary Cabral, Filomena Cabral, Fatima Furtado, Theresa Arruda, Milly Carvalho, Anna Norfolk, and the late Virginia Reis, Joseph Carvalho, and John Carvalho; as well as many nieces, nephews and family members that will truly miss him.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, July 12th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday, July 11th from 5-8 P.M.
