SOMERSET - Irene Arruda, age 98 of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Antone and Maria Arruda, and the sister of the late Michael Arruda Sr. and the late Mary Costa.

Prior to retiring in 1988, Irene worked for 21 years at Raytheon as an Electronics Inspector. She was also a past parishioner of St. John of God Parish.

Irene is survived by her nephew Michael Arruda Jr. (girlfriend Kim Fegreus) of Fayetteville, GA, and Barabra Arruda (Wife of the late John E. Arruda) great nieces Maria Marcucilli (Jim Marcucilli) of Somerset, MA and Sylvia Phipps (Adam Phipps) of Melrose, MA, and a great nephew Joel Marcucilli of Somerset, MA.  She was the aunt of the late John E. Arruda, Kathleen M. Arruda, Barbara Costa-Silva, John Costa Jr.

Irene's committal service will take place on Friday, Nov. 7th at 10 AM at Notre Dame Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. To send the family Expressions of Sympathy, please click the Guest Book below.
