FALL RIVER – Isabel (DeMello) Mello, age 93, passed away on May 19, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Mello and the daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel (Capeto) DeMello.

Prior to retiring, Isabel was employed as a clerk for the former R.A. Mc Whirr Co. for many years, and later as a lunch aid at the Carroll School. She loved to read, travel to Newport, collect jewelry, cook for and spend time with her family.

She leaves three sons, Michael Mello and David Mello (wife Ana Lucia) all of Fall River and Steven Mello (wife Cyndie) of Swansea; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Zachary Mello of Fall River, and Samantha Mello of Swansea. She also leaves two nieces, Kathleen Mello-Nelson of Arizona and Patricia Egender of Maryland, as well as her dog and best friend Silas.

Isabel's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, May 23rd here at 10:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
