Jacqueline L. Alves, age 80 of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, Jackie was the beloved wife of the late Gene P. Alves and the daughter of the late Joseph and Belmira (Mathias) Mello.

Prior to retiring, Jackie worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the F.R. School Dept for 29 yrs. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church, and in her spare time, she loved doing her search a word puzzles. Jackie also loved to visit Cape Cod, especially the town of Falmouth, several times a year. Most of all, Jackie loved spending time with her family and friends, especially with her two grandsons whom she absolutely adored.

Jackie is survived by her loving children: son Scott J. Alves and daughter in law Lisa, and her daughter Sheila Dias and son in law Bobby all of Fall River; her two grandsons Collin & Brady Dias; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces & nephews whom she was very close to and loved.

Jackie's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, F.R.
