FALL RIVER – James O. Silvia, age 84, passed away peacefully at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Manuel and Jesuina (Machado Moreira) Silvia.

James was a member of the Bishop James E. Cassidy Council Knights of Columbus in Swansea, earning his Third Degree with Council 3669, as well as Bishop William Stang Assembly Knights of Columbus in Fall River, earning his Fourth Degree with Council 392. He worked as a machine operator for many years with Klear VU Corporation of Fall River.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. on Saturday, February 8th. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
