WESTPORT – James J. Travers Jr., age 93, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on November 6, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Gouveia) Travers. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late James and Wilhelmina (Farias)Travers. James was a proud veteran. He served honorably in the Army, achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. James had a love for animals, especially cats and dogs.

James is survived by his daughters Donna Boudria of Westport, Diane Alexander of Mattapoisett and Debra Levesque of Somerset; siblings June Gagnon and Frances Girard; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by her brother Joseph and John Travers.

The family would also like to thank Sabrina Furtardo and Dawn Marie Lake for providing the best care to James over the past two years.
