SOMERSET – Janice (Ferreira) Michael, age 77, a longtime resident of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Sep. 19, 2024. Janice was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Michael Sr. and the daughter of the late Antone Ferreira and the late Mary (Fonseca) Ferreira.

Prior to retiring, Janice had worked as a head clerk for Rite Aid pharmacy. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Somerset. Janice absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, and her fur baby, Bailey.

In addition to her husband Ronald, Janice was the mother of the late Ronald J. Michael Jr. (wife Lisa), Wendy Soares (husband Rodney), Kerri Cabral (Husband Tim), and Keith Michael (wife MaryLou); grandmother of R.J. Soares, Nathan Michael, Karrisa Cantelmo, Nicholas Soares, Matthew Michael, Timothy Cabral Jr., Austin Michael, Brianna Michael, and Tyler Cabral; and the great grandmother of Palmer Soares and Tenley Cantelmo.

Private funeral arrangements for Janice are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main Street, Fall River.
