Janice Anne (Arruda) Pottier, age 79 of Somerset, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 in the comforts of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, she was the beloved wife of the late David W. Pottier, M.D. and the daughter of the late John M. Arruda and Lorraine (Chouinard) Arruda.

Prior to retiring, Janice worked as a Registered Nurse in long term care for 35 years. She was a communicant of His Providence Church in Swansea, and enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Most of all, Janice loved being a mom and grandma and just enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Janice is survived by her children: Gregory Ridge Jr. of Somerset, and Cherie Soderbom of E. Taunton; daughter-in-law: Melissa Moniz Ridge; her grandson Cole Ridge, whom she cherished; step-children David Pottier Jr., Joanna Woodward, and the late Daniel Pottier; and several step-grandchildren.
