SOMERSET – Jacinto M. "Jesse" Aguiar. Age 79 of Somerset and previously of Dighton and Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 in Charlton Memorial with his family by his side. Born in Santa Barbara, Santo Antonio Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Antonio M. and Maria Isabel (Fonseca) Aguiar. Jesse was also the beloved husband to Belmira (Fonseca) Aguiar.

Prior to retiring, Jesse worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Construction. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, and loved doing yard work. Most of all, Jesse loved spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of Somerset, Jesse is survived by his 4 daughters: Tracy Pavao (husband Ricardo) of Assonet, Sandy Cumiskey, Bella Medeiros (husband Bill), and Elizabeth Nowicki all of Somerset; a sister: Maria de Medeiros of Fall River; 2 brothers: Guilherme Aguiar of Fall River, and Gilberto Aguiar of Florida; 14 grandchildren: Joshua Aguiar, Karissa Majndle, Candice Nowicki, Alexa Nowicki , Colby Nowicki, Allison Nowicki, Sarah Nowicki, Scott Cumiskey (wife Jillian), Jakob Aguiar, Ryan O'Connell, Amanda O'Connell, Sadie Pavao, Logan Pavao, and Riley Pavao; many nieces & nephews. Jesse was the brother of the late Antonio Aguiar, Jośe Aguiar, John Aguiar, and Cesar Aguiar.

A funeral for Jesse will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Thursday, Oct. 28 ^th here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
