Dec 14, 1944 — Jan 26, 2022
Fall River
Fall River - Joann (Rasmus) Wampler passed away on January 26th after a hard-fought battle with COVID at the age of 77 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Lafayette) Rasmus. Joann was truly an independent, hardworking, and determined woman. She had a true knack of being able to conquer obstacles that stood in her way. Joann loved 50's and 60's music, especially Elvis Presley. She had the ability to leave you "All Shook Up" because "Her lips are like a volcano." Joann was quite candid and expressed her opinions and feelings in an honest and sincere way, you never had to wonder where you stood with her. Joann loved spending time with her family: from summers at the beach with her children when they were young, going camping, and having family card games. She loved shopping, visiting the casino, and above all, Joann loved her family.
Besides her parents, Joann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilton. She is survived by her children; Bob Buchanan and his wife Veronica of AR, Keith Buchanan and his wife Gail of Fall River, Kim Buchanan and her husband Mikey of Fall River, Kelly Buchanan of Fall River, Stacy Wampler of Fall River, Wilton Wampler of AR, and Alicia Ward and her husband Michael of Fall River; her grandchildren Josh, Justin, Charity, Beth, Kelsey, Kieran, Ronnie, Katie, Aleciana, Daniel, Amarie, Mariah, Hayden, and Mason. Her great-grandchildren Riley, Keston, Maddie, Isabelle, and Jason, as well as her number one companion, her dog Lucy.
