Fall River – Joao F. Medeiros, 83, passed away peacefully at St. Annes Hospital after an illness.  Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Migues, Acores he was the son of the late Fernando Dos Santos Medeiros and Maria Jose (De Teves) Medeiros.  He was the loving husband to Adriana Maria (Oliveira) Medeiros.

Joao worked in maintenance for TPI for many years prior to his retirement.  He loved watching Benfica and spending time with his family.  He will be deeply missed.

Besides his wife Joao is survived by his children; Fernando Medeiros and his wife Estrela, Ana P. Pacheco and her husband Fred; his grandchildren; Derek M. Medeiros and his wife Lisa, Kayla M. Bernardo and her husband Kyle and Ashley R. Barry and her husband Nick; his great grandchildren Samuel Medeiros, and Wyatt Barry; three sisters and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on September 23, at 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michaels Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Patricks Cemetery in Fall River.  A visitation will be held at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home on Friday, September 23 from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M.
