John E. Duponte, age 75 of N. Dartmouth, passed away on March 17, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born on Jan. 8, 1950 in Fall River, John was the beloved husband of 53 years to Eileen (Correia) Duponte and the son of Alice (Bolduc) Duponte and the late Joseph E. Duponte.

John was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School, and became a Master Electrician, licensed in MA, RI, and NH. Prior to retiring, he was also the owner & operator of Duponte Electric Co for many years. John enjoyed boating, fishing, snow mobiling, and skiing in New Hampshire. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family, especially with his 2 grandsons whom he cherished so much.

In addition to his wife Eileen, John is survived by his sons John E. Duponte Jr. (wife Julie) of Swansea and Jason Duponte (wife Jennifer) of Natick, MA; grandsons Jack & Matthew Duponte; sisters Beatrice Rocha (husband John) and Karen Clark; along with nieces & nephews.
