TIVERTON – John G. Lawrence, age 78 of Tiverton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. Born in Fall River on Aug. 11, 1944 to the late Virginio "Gene" Lourenco and the late Eugenia (Studniarz) Lourenco. John was also the former husband of the late Carole Ann (Rego) Lawrence.

Prior to retiring, John worked as a Tax Accountant for Edwards & Angell Law Firm in Providence for over 40 years. John loved watching all sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, and the Celtics. He loved vacationing and cruises, driving his convertible in the Summer, and spent many years at his cottage in Wareham. John was a great father and grandfather, and always putting his family first.

John is survived by his 3 children: Christopher Lawrence (Kim) of Swansea, Caren Michaels (fiancé Chuck Patterson) of Tiverton, and Beth Lawrence (fiancé Jeff Grills) of Tiverton; 7 grandchildren: Haley, Cameron, Casey, Aubrey, Caleb, Briana, Samuel; and a few cousins.

John's service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9-11 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, F.R. To offer words of sympathy to the family, please go to www.rogersfuneral.com.
