Garcia
Feb 8, 1948 — Mar 19, 2022
Tiverton
Tiverton- John E. Garcia, age 74, passed away on March 19th. He was the loving husband of Rosemary (Arruda) and the son to the late Arseno "Sammy" and Helena (Perry) Garcia.
John was born in Fall River, and attended school in Portsmouth RI, where he was in the first graduating class of Portsmouth Highschool. Prior to his retirement he was a food manager at the Newport Naval Base at the James L. Mayher Center and he also worked as a driver for the Mainheim Auto Auction. John was an absolutely fantastic cook, known for his monthly breakfast at the rec hall at the estate, as well as his fish fries at the annual themed parties at their campsite in Connecticut. When John wasn't cooking up a good meal he liked to golf, watch the Red Sox and to much of his brothers' dismay, the New York Giants. Him and his wife Rosemary loved traveling, their favorite destination, Aruba, where they visited numerous times, they also enjoyed playing cards weekly. He loved the sunsets on the beach, but he loved spending time with his friends and family the most.
Besides his wife, John is survived by his children; Stacey Silvia and her husband John, Michael Garcia; his stepchildren; Corey Hebert and his wife Liza and Melanie Hebert; his brother James Garcia and his wife Suzanne; eight grandchildren as well as his Aunt Florence Campos. John was predeceased by his grandson Lucas Garcia.
