We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of John Oliveira on February 17, 2026 at the age of 81.  He was the beloved husband of Lucia (Rego) Oliveira.  Born in St. Antonio, Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jacinto and Cecelia Conceiçao (Pacheco) Oliveira.

John was a man who truly savored life.  An enthusiastic winemaker, he took pride in crafting his own wine and sharing bottles with family and friends.  When he wasn't making wine, John enjoyed fishing, traveling to Portugal, Canada and Italy and watching soccer.

He was loved and cherished by many people including his loving wife Lucia (Rego) Oliveira, siblings Jesse Oliveira, Jose Oliveira, Lourdes Oliveira, Rita Oliveira and the late Urselina Oliveira, Olivia Oliveira and Antonio Oliveira; as well as many nieces and nephews.

***Due to the inclement weather, all services for John Oliveira have been rescheduled to take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, March 3rd here at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday, March 2nd from 4:00pm-7:00pm P.M.
