Somerset- John S. Rapoza Jr., age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26 ^th Born in Fall River he was the son of the late John S. Rapoza and Elvira (Amselmo) Rapoza.

John met his love of his life, Eva (Pacheco) Rapoza on June 20 ^th , 1958 and they spent just shy of 64 years together.  He loved to fish and was an extremely gifted craftsman and master carpenter with the ability to construct whatever he put his mind to. John enjoyed listening to country music, especially Willy Nelson, but he also loved listening to gospel music. When his wife's brother unexpectedly passed away, John knew the importance of having a good father figure and without hesitation he became the most devoted, caring,  Uncle to his niece and nephews, consistently being there to support them, guide them and show them unwavering unconditional love.

Besides his loving wife Eva, John is survived by his nephews; Mike Pacheco, Edwin Pacheco and David Pacheco and his wife Betty Anne, Duane Pacheco and his wife Tamra; his nieces Jane Rapoza and JoAnn Pacheco; his great nephews; Marc Pacheco and his wife Kristen , Edwin R. Pacheco and his wife Claudia and Andrew Pacheco and family; his great niece Lori-Beth Pacheco; his great -great nieces; Natalie, Dianna, Savannah; as well as his great-great nephews Thomas and Ethan.  He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Edward Rapoza.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N.
