John S. Carvalho, age 85 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on May 8, 2022 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Furnas, São Miguel, Azores, John was the beloved husband of Maria E. (Amaral) Carvalho and the son of the late Angelo Melo Carvalho and the late Maria (Santos) Carvalho.

Prior to retiring, John worked for many years as a laborer for William Peakapong, Sonny Scardinha, Estrada Construction, & Sicona & Sons. He was a communicant of Santo Christo Church. In John's free time, he loved to spend quality time with his family.

He is survived by his Children: Steven Carvalho of Dartmouth, Natalie DeAlmeida & Ana Pavao both of Fall River; Siblings: twins Ana Pimental of Fall River & Lurdes Saraiva of RI, Carlos Carvalho of Swansea, Augida Arruda & Lena Carvalho both of Fall River; 6 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; & 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; many Nieces & Nephews. John was predeceased by 6 Siblings.

John's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA on Thursday, May 12 ^th here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in Santo Christo Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
