Jose M. Medeiros, age 69 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born October 18, 1954 in Relva, São Miguel, Açores, Jose was the beloved husband of Maria Rose (Correia) Medeiros for 45 years, and the son of the late Jose Medeiros Araujo and Maria de Lourdes (Pereira) Medeiros.

Jose had been working as a bartender at the Fall River Grill and previously at Caldeiras Restaurant. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Parish, played soccer with Fall River Sports and also with Clube Micaelense. He was an avid fan of Benfica, and also followed many other international soccer games on TV and the radio. Jose also enjoyed visiting Water Parks, especially in New Hampshire, and loved spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife Maria Rose, Jose is survived by his son Jose E. Medeiros (wife Jamie) of North Hampton, New Hampshire; his brothers Anibal Pereira Araujo of São Miguel, Azores, and João Carlos Pereira Araujo of Middletown, NY; grandchildren Jonluca Medeiros and Juliette Medeiros; several nieces & nephews.
