Jose P. Rego, age 93 passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2021.  Born in Santa Cruz Lagoa, St. Michaels, he was the son of the late Joao Rego and the late Maria Luiza (de Oliveira) Rego.

Jose was a master carpenter and very skilled at working with his hands.  He was so well at his job that even the tiniest details were perfect.  He enjoyed his daily walks, being outdoors and gardening. He was strong, determined and above all was a loving family man.

Besides his parents, Jose was predeceased by his son Mario Rego, and his siblings; Eduarda Rego, Urbano Rego, Manuel Rego, Joao Rego, Gilhermo Rego and Conceicao Rego.

Jose is survived by his daughter, Eduarda Aguiar and her husband Antonio and son, Jose Rego; his grandchildren, Silvia Amaral, Cristina Fragata, Scott Aguiar, Amanda Rego, Heidi Rego, Monica Rego and Natalie Rego; as well as six great grandchildren.

Jose's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, December 16th here at 8:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Josephs Cemetery in Taunton.
