SWANSEA – We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2024, Joseph Bryon Silva, age 69, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Nowicki) Silva. Born in Fall River, son of the late Jose Jr. and Mary (Downey) Silva.

Before retiring, Joseph served as a press room supervisor for Ferguson Perforating. Among his favorite pastimes were playing bingo, driving his Corvette, especially to Swansea Town Beach and spending time with his family and friends. Known for his outgoing nature, Joseph had a knack for making people laugh. He was also very fond of his dog, Samantha.

Along with his wife and dog, he will be missed by his children Jennifer Costa (David) and Jason Silva (Kristine) all of Swansea; siblings Pamela Medeiros, Candace Bogus and Douglas Bradley Silva; grandchildren Alexis, Amber, Ashley, Jake and Austin; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Bruce Silva.

Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
