Judith R. (Luiz) Da Silva, age 80 of Swansea, unexpectedly passed away on February 28, 2026 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Carlos Da Silva of 59 years, and the daughter of the late Manuel & Alzira "Elsie" (Rapoza) Luiz.

Judy was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Fall River, and had worked as a payroll clerk for both Shelburne Shirt Co. & Fall River Shirt Co. She was a very active parishioner of St. John of God Church, where she was a lector for over 20 years. Judy was also the past president of the St. John of God Women's Guild and a member of its Holy Rosary Society.

Judy and Carlos loved to travel and go on cruises together. They loved to worship and dance together. Judy also loved to attend any type of party, no matter what the occasion or theme was. Most of all, Judy loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and with her 2 fur babies, Mookie and Zoey.

Judy is survived by her 2 sons, Carlos Da Silva Jr. (wife Carolyn) of Swansea and Brian Da Silva (wife Leslie) of Bristol, RI; and 3 grandchildren, Dominic, Alexis, and Ariana.

A funeral for Judy will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, March 12, 2026 here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
