Kenneth E. Furtado, age 60, of Fall River, MA passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 with his loving family by his side.  Born in Fall River, he was the beloved son of Edward and Madeline (Travis) Furtado. Ken was a proud father to his children, Kenneth D. Furtado of Rehoboth, MA and Kristyn Estrela (husband Aaron) of Swansea, MA. Ken took great joy in spending time with his grandson, Camryn Estrela.

Prior to retirement, Ken worked as a firefighter on the Fall River Fire Department for 32 years.  Ken graduated from Diman Regional High School in 1981. He was the owner of Alternative Lawn Care for many years. In his leisure time, Ken enjoyed going to the beach, riding his motorcycle, working on his Corvette, watching sports, and putting his landscaping expertise to good use.  One of his favorite activities was coaching his children's sports teams in their younger years. He never missed watching one of their games.

Ken was a proud big brother to his siblings: Lisa Alves (husband Scott), Lori Holding, and Kevin Furtado (late wife Sandra). Ken was a loving uncle to Amanda Luchka (husband Brian) and Allyson Holding. He was a great-uncle to Weylan Luchka. Ken enjoyed spending time and vacationing with his loving companion, Karen Pellicano of Providence, RI and her two daughters, Alessandra and Giavanna.

Ken's calling hours will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River, MA. A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:30 am in the funeral home before a procession to St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
