FALL RIVER – Laureana A. (Carlos) Camara, age 88 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 in RI Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio S. Camara. Born in Santa Barbara, São Miguel, Azores, Laureana was the daughter of the late João Carlos and the late Mariana de Conceicão (Arruda) Carlos.

Prior to retiring, Laureana worked as a Thread Cleaner in the Textile Mfg. industry, and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church. She thoroughly enjoyed a good, hot, cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and one of there coffee rolls. Most of all, Laureana loved spending good quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Antonio C. Camara (wife Lucy) of Fall River, Joseph C. Camara of S. Dartmouth, & Maria Ferreira (fiancé Ronald Moura) of Fall River; 2 sisters: Olivia Carvalho of Santo Antonio, São Miguel, Azores, and Ilda Cabral of Canada; 6 grandchildren: Andy Camara, Ashley Lopes, Aidan Camara, Shawn, Ryan, & Mitchell Ferreira; a step-grandson: Derek Sebastiao; 2 great grandsons: Nathan & Myles Lopes;  many nieces and nephews. Laureana was the sister of the late João, Jośe, Antonio, & Francisco Carlos, Maria Vultão, Mariana Carvalho, & Inez Barreia.

Laureana's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Thursday, Dec. 9 ^th here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a funeral mass  in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
