We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2025, Leatrice (Pereira) Souza, age of 97, passed away at Kimwell Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael B. Souza. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Cabral) Pereira.

Before retiring, Leatrice dedicated over 10 years to working at the Truesdale Clinic. She cherished spending time with her family, with her beloved grandchildren holding a special place in her heart.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Paul M. Souza (his wife Tracy Souza) and Claudia Myers (her late husband Scott A. Myers); her grandchildren Adam S. Myers and Katie N. Souza; her siblings Lorraine Farias and the late Edward V. Pereira and Olivia Dias; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, January15th here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Tuesday, January 14th from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
