FALL RIVER – Ledwina R. Cardoza, age 83, passed away on March 4, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Cardoza. Born in Santa Barbara, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Rapozo) Silva. Ledwina was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing Bingo. She was also an avid Red Sox fan and loved going to Fenway Park to watch the games.

Ledwina was the loving mother to her sons William Cardoza of Seekonk, Michael Cardoza and his wife Lisa of Assonet and Kevin Cardoza of Westport; sister of Lidia Soares, Rose Oliveira, Joe Silva, Manuel Silva, Mary Silvia and the late Jenny Ferreira; grandmother to Tori Cardoza, Justin Cardoza, Kristin Donahue, Tamra Cardoza, Devyn Cardoza, Violet Gomes and Keira Pietrunti as well as to 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, March 16 ^th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Espirito Santo Church at 10 A.M. Interment in MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
