Lenora
Rezendes
Sep 3, 1941 — Jul 26, 2025
SWANSEA – Lenora "Nancy" (Cabral) Rezendes, age 83, of Swansea, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years William A. Rezendes, her parents Francisco and Irene (Thibault) Cabral, sisters Madeline Petrillo, Lorraine Grenier, and Delores Murphy, brothers Joseph, Francisco, and Douglas Cabral. She is survived by her sister Francis Mello.
Throughout her life, Nancy held a variety of jobs, but the roles she cherished most were being a devoted wife and loving mother to her daughters, Christine and Charlene. She was a constant, enthusiastic presence who never missed a practice, game, performance, or competition. As a proud "Band Mom" for the Joseph Case High School marching band and color guard, Nancy extended her care and encouragement to countless students, many of whom became like family. A skilled seamstress, she often stepped in to create uniforms and flags and she was known as one of the band's most loyal (and loudest) supporters. Nancy's love for children extended beyond her own family, and she opened her heart and home to care for many little ones during the school year, especially for local teachers.
A spirited hostess, Nancy loved throwing and attending a good party. Her quick wit, fun-loving nature, and infectious laugh were always center stage. She also had a fondness for a casino and never passed up a chance to try her luck.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters Christine A. Clarke of Littleton, NH and Charlene A. Clark (husband Chandler) of Hampton, VA, grandchildren Benjamin and Matthew (wife Ashley) Clarke; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
The funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St, Fall River on Tuesday, August 5th at 9:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic's Church, Swansea at 10am. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
