It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Leo J. LePage III of Fall River, who passed away at the age of 61, passed on October 23, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Alice (Freeman) Courtemanche and Leo J. LePage II. He served honorably for the US Army.

Leo survived a tragic accident when he was younger which unfortunately left him with brain damage. Given the circumstances and challenges he was faced with, he showed his loved ones, amongst many others, such a beautiful outlook on life – he carried this all throughout his adulthood, and that is what we will remember the most about him. Always that smiling face. Even after his diagnosis with cancer, he remained positive. He will forever be remembered for his smile and contagious laugh that brought an instant grin to all of our faces. He truly was a light. He is now a free bird.

Leo was the father of Jeremy Anglini; grandfather of Tristina & Savanah; brother to Shannon Courtemanche of Swansea, Shawn Lewis of New Bedford, Shane Lewis of Swansea and Philip Brightman of NH. Leo was also the uncle of Nichole Arruda, Madison Lewis, Shane P Lewis II, Donovan Fagundes, Jameson Fitzpatrick and Aria Furtado, who he loved dearly.

Leo's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his caregivers whom he considered to be his best friends and angels. Jessica (Ferreira) Sherry and Denise Faria who cared for Leo with gentleness and love during his last few years.
