Lester C. Harrop Jr. age 89 of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean (Monte) Harrop and the son of the late Lester C. and Beatrice (Trappier) Harrop. Lester is also survived by his girlfriend Joan Botelho.

Lester was a US Navy Veteran and retired from General Dynamics Electric Boat at Quonset Point where he was a submarine painter. In his free time he enjoyed medal detecting, fishing, traveling, cruises, watching sports, old shows and movies, and playing computer games. Most of all, Lester loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his girlfriend Joan, Lester is survived by his children Jessica Morse, Tina Evans, Brenda soares, Lester C. Harrop III, Michele Houde, Tammy Gluchacki, and John Harrop; siblings Lilly Helley, Gene Harrop, John Harrop, and Richard Harrop; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews. Lester was also the brother of the late Ronald Harrop, Norman Harrop, Alice LaBerge, and Shirley Sands.

Following cremation, Calling hours for Lester will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026 from 5-7 PM in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River.
