Linda Fuss Devoy, age 66, passed away peacefully at home in Tiverton, Rhode Island on June 24, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with a lingering illness.

Born in Warwick, New York on September 6, 1960, she was the beloved daughter of George and Justine Fuss. Those who knew her early in life, including her school years at Good Shepherd in Inwood, New York, remember her love of animals and her bright smile. Not only during her childhood, but also as an adult, she was seen as a truly delightful person who brought warmth and light into the world.

Family meant everything to her. Linda was known for her passion for Yahtzee and other games, gentle nature, quick wit, creative spirit, yummy home-cooked meals and devotion to her beloved dog Major Minor. Though her later years presented significant health challenges, even a heart valve implant that was ultimately rejected, her resilience remained unforgettable.

Linda was predeceased by her parents and former husband. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive forever by her son Greg Devoy, her grandson Aaron Devoy, her sister Christine Fuss, her cousin Edward Lagarde and other cherished friends and extended family.
Her social media post three years before is indeed poignant: "The last few years have taught me that when it is our time to leave this world no one can stop it. We have one life to live The material things we invest in are left behind only to be discarded. Memories are important to me."

Linda's son Greg continued his care and devotion to his mother by following her wishes for a private next journey. Her ashes from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home in Fall River were set free from Greg's boat into the waves.
