SOMERSET – Lorraine R. Cordeiro, age 90 of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Fall River, Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Aristides (Harry) Cordeiro and the daughter of the late Charlotte Silvia.

Prior to retiring, Lorraine worked at Grand Central Market in Somerset for many years. In her earlier years, she worked in the local Fall River Textile Mills. She was a communicant of St. John of God Church in Somerset.

Lorraine enjoyed bird watching, word puzzles, and above all, her family.

Survivors include her children: Judith O'Donoghue of Oak Bluffs, MA, Randall J. Cordeiro and his wife Diane of Berkley, MA, and Jill Cordeiro and her fiancé, Jeremiah Bokay of Somerset, MA; five grandchildren: Kerry O'Donoghue, Ellen Rossi, her husband Ryan and their three children Sloane, Jack, and Annabelle Rossi, Michael O'Donoghue, his wife Emily and their daughter Cora O'Donoghue, Alexander Cordeiro, Timothy Cordeiro, his wife Patricia and their daughter Emelia Cordeiro.

Lorraine's funeral will take place at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Thursday, December 7, 2023  at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no separate calling hours.
