With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorraine (Anselmo) Machado, who passed away on August 7, 2022, on her 91 ^st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Louis Rogers Machado, and born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Guilhermina (Carreira) Anselmo. Lorraine was a member of the ILGWU, the Red Hat Society and Portsmouth Senior Center. She was a talented crafter, loved to travel, shop and play bingo. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Gail Enos (husband Robert) of Dartmouth, Elizabeth Medeiros (husband Mario) of Swansea, Mark Arthur Machado of TN and Lynne Costa (husband Steven) of Somerset; siblings the late Manuel, Antone, Joseph and John Anselmo; 12 grandchildren Christian Arthur Costa, Megan Anne Costa, Cameron Joseph Costa, Mario Medeiros, Joshua Medeiros, David Medeiros, Robert J. Enos II, Timothy J. Enos, Rebecca Roy, Stephanie Maher, Andrew Machado and Chase Machado; 12 great-grandchildren Ariel, Nicole, Caleb L.R., Ariana, Amelia and Madeline Enos, Charlotte Roy, Katie, Camile, Selene, Joseph and Paxton Medeiros; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, August 12 ^th here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday, August 11 ^th from 4-8 P.M.
