Rebello
May 5, 1934 — Jul 26, 2023
Fall River
Fall River – Lorraine Rebello (Silva), age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Annes Hospital on July 26th. Born and raised in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alvaro T. Silva and Albertina (Souza) Silva.
Prior to retirement, Lorraine worked as a technician for the Herald News for 4 years, with the love of her life, John, whom she met in 1949 and have loved each other since. She was an incredibly talented painter, creating pieces that should have been hung in museums around the globe, but preferred them hung in homes of those she cherished. Lorraine enjoyed to crochet and was a great cook, especially her Portuguese dishes. Lorraine and John went on many vacations together, traveling to Florida, Hawaii and Portugal. She was proud of the home, that not only she was born and raised in but also later raised her own family in and have stayed for over 63 years. Lorraine was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and will be so deeply missed.
Besides her loving husband John, Lorraine is survived by her daughter Patricia Souza and her husband Dennis of Westport; her son David Rebello and his partner Lisa Xavier of Assonet; her siblings Joseph Silva and Dolores Duarte and the late Alvaro Silva and Edward Silva; her grandchildren; Melissa Barth and Andrea Connell and great grandchildren Alex Barth, Dennis J. Barth, Olivia Connell and Jackson Connell; as well as many nieces and nephews.
