Louis L. Souza Jr., age 85 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023. Born and raised in Fall River, Louis was the son of the late Louis and Irene (Cabral) Souza, and the longtime companion of Mary O. Perry, whom he absolutely loved.

Prior to retiring, Louis was a schoolteacher in the Fall River Public School system, case manager with the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance and clerk for the US Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Louis loved to read and could often be seen walking throughout the city.

In addition to the love of his life Mary, Louis leaves behind Mary's son, Jeffrey Perry and his wife Melynda Perry of Franklin. Louis also leaves behind his son Scott Souza, sister, Patricia (Souza) Conforti, and his brother, the late Thomas Souza.

Calling hours for Louis will take place on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023 from 9-11 AM, with a service to conclude at 11:00 AM in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Louis's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452
