FREETOWN - In loving memory, we honor the life Lucia "Lucy" F. Cidade, age 57 who passed peacefully on October 31, 2026. She was the beloved lifelong companion to Kevin Machado. Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter to Margarida Pereira (Carreiro) Cidade and the late Joao Furtado Cidade.

She had a deep love for animals and always had a caring and compassionate heart. She especially loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her. She also had a passion for shopping and enjoyed the finer things in life. Known for being a little bougie, she loved looking her best and treating herself whenever she could. Her loving personality, caring nature, and unique sense of style made her someone truly special.

She survived by her siblings: Joao Cidade, Maria Ines Cidade, Margaret Bradham, Dina Cidade and the late Jose Manuel Cidiade; brother-in-law: David Machado; along with nieces and nephews.A visitation for Lucia will be held on Monday, November 9th from 9:00-10:30 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A funeral mass will follow at Espirito Santo Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
