FALL RIVER - Lucilia I. Cabral, 95 passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2023 surrounded by family. Born on October 27, 1927 in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores. Daughter of the late Joao Inacio and Silvana (Pereira) Sousa, and the wife of the late Joao Felipe Cabral.

Lucilia Immigrated to the United States in 1970, and worked at Beacon Garment Mfg. for many years until she retired. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael's Church, where she volunteered her time during feasts and suppers and was a member of the Irmaos Do Rosario.

The Mother of six sons and two daughters; Lucilia leaves behind Antero Cabral, fiancée Ana Silva, Fernando Cabral, wife Adeline, Mariana Wood, husband David, Germano Cabral, wife Ana, Theresa Cabral, fiancé Luis De Araujo, Gabriel Cabral, wife Lucilia, Luciano Cabral, wife Filomena, and Gloriana Cabral, widow of Lucilia's oldest son, Joao Cabral, who sadly predeceased her. Lucilia's 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends will also miss her dearly.

Lucilia's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
