FALL RIVER - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ludgero M. DoMonte of Fall River, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Beloved spouse of the late Maria Faustino DoMonte, and born in Fena í s da Ajuda, São Miguel, Açores, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Andrade) DoMonte. Prior to retirement Ludgero worked for many years at Duro Finishing. He enjoyed playing the guitar and gardening, but most of all spending time with his family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including his children Liliana Fernandes (husband Michael) of Fall River, Mary Lou Carvalho (husband Paul) of Fall River, Connie Marques (husband Carlos) of NC, Chantal Krowel of Cape Cod, Elizabeth DoMonte of FL, Nancy Medeiros of FL, Jason DoMonte of Fall River, James DoMonte of Fall River and the late Ludgero DoMonte; siblings Serafica Pedro, Luis DoMonte and the late Manuel DoMonte, Jose S. Monte, Mariano Monte and Edward Monte; 13 grandchildren; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, June 2 ^nd here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday, June 1 ^st from 5-8 P.M.
