FALL RIVER – Manuel DeSilva, age 73, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Saint Michael, Acores he was the son of Manuel Martins and Merces (Borges) Martins.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Manuel was a boat painter, where he was able to take in the ocean views.

Manuel is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lopes and his son Peter Martins; his siblings, Maria Luciano and her husband Aristides, Mercedes and her husband Antonio Rocha, Olgette DaSilva and his wife, Hermano Martins, Lucia Martins and Cedalia Martins; his grandchildren Paul, Louis, Sarah and Andrew Lopes and Bryce Martins; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Maria (Medeiros) DaSilva.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday, January 4 ^th here at 10 A.M. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M.
