Margaret M. Cabeceiras, age 87 of Berkley, peacefully passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026 at Catholic Memorial Home. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late William Cabeceiras and the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Shea) Vogel.
At a young age, Margaret would help her father at their family business, Vogels Pharmacy. Prior to retiring, Margaret worked as an LPN at both St. Anne's Hospital and STARR. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard's Church and a member of its woman's guild. In her free time, she loved to go on bus trips and cruises.
Margaret also loved to knit and crochet, line dance and clogging. She was also a member of the Berkley Happy Hearts Seniors Club along with her many friends. Margaret was also a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan, and loved her dogs. She spent much time caring for her grandchildren in her earlier years.
Survivors include her children William Cabeceiras of Fall River, and Margaret Terpak (husband Jeffrey) of Assonet; siblings Ann Marie Plourde, and John Vogel; grandchildren Audrey, Meghan, and Jeremy Cabeceiras and their mother Christine Rieser; her cherished great granddaughter Madison Flynn; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Margaret's family would like to extend a special thank you to Annette Walmsley for her years of friendship & caring for their mom, especially the last couple while Margaret was still home. They would also like to acknowledge the caring staff at Catholic Memorial Home and the nurses from Southcoast VNA hospice for their love and attention that was given to Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, Margaret's wishes were for memorial donations to be made to a charity of your choosing.
Margaret's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, Sep. 8th here at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bernard's Church, Assonet at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
