Margaret P. Kollek, age 76 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 after a brief illness at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in and raised in Fall River, Margaret was the daughter of the late Henry DeArruda and the late Mary (Cabral) DeArruda.

In Margaret's leisure time, she enjoyed trying her luck at the casino, playing cards on Friday nights with her dear friends. She also attended all of the local senior centers, loved playing mahjong, Canasta, Yahtzee, and pitch.

She had the love for the ocean, sun, and pool days with the family. Margaret enjoyed watching New England sports and supporting & cheering on her grandchildren as they played their sports.

Margaret leaves behind her children: Theresa Gallagher (husband Edward) of Franklinville, NJ, Richard Kollek (wife Tina) of Bancroft, MI, Kimberly Cavallo (husband Dr. John) of Westport, MA, and Johnscott Kollek (wife Jen) of No. Providence; siblings: Annmarie Correia (late husband Steven) of Fall River, the late Henry DeArruda (wife Linda) of Attleboro, and Margaret's late twin sister Maureen Fletcher (late husband Roger); grandchildren: Brooke Laudensloger, Eddie & Ava Gallagher, Brian & Cory Cardeiro, Allesandra, Dominic, & John Cavallo, Kylie & Emma Kollek; great grandchildren: Ronan, Elijah, Gage, Vivian, Matthew, Isabella & Corey, and Isabella & Jake; her nephews: Shawn DeArruda, Adam & Aaron Correia; her niece: Elizabeth Ramhoff.
