Margaret L. Mello, age 84 of Fall River, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Tiverton, RI, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Joseph Blanchette and the late Mary C. (Moniz) Carr Blanchette.

Prior to retiring, Margaret worked as a Case Coordinator in the trial court division at the Second District Court in Fall River.

Survivors include her three sons Michael Mello (wife Donna Keough-Mello), Joseph Mello (wife Nancy Mello), and Jeffrey Mello, (wife Melissa Mello); six grandchildren: Stephen, Nicole, Matthew, David, Susanna and Georgiana, 2 great-granddaughters Sophie and Isabel, her brother George and his wife Shirley and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Patricia Mello, and by her siblings Jeanne M. Blanchette Mello, Albert Joseph Blanchette Jr., Irene J. Blanchette Rivers Issacson, Marie Antoinette Blanchette Bouchard, and Robert F. Carr as well as her former husband Ronald Mello.
