FALL RIVER - In loving memory, we honor the life of Maria C. Aguiar, age 77, who passed away on July 25, 2025 peacefully at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose S. Aguiar. Born in Feteiras do Sul São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Gloria (Cordeiro) Tavares.

Maria found true joy in the simple pleasures of life—crocheting with care, watching her beloved Portuguese soap operas, and listening to Mass from the comfort of her home. Her heart was fully devoted to her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whom she helped raise with love and dedication. Among them, she shared a particularly special bond with her grandson Tyler Aguiar. Maria's gentle spirit, nurturing presence, and deep-rooted faith will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Marylou Faria (husband John) of Fall River, Ana Aguiar of Fall River, Lina Aguiar of London and the late Jose Aguiar and Maria Soares; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
